The revelation of $400,000 in funding from the federal Conservatives for the recent Toronto Gay Pride parade, which is notorious for its inclusion of full frontal nudity and public sex acts by homosexuals, came as a shock to most social conservatives in the nation. According to Conservative MP Brad Trost, however, the decision to fund the event also came a shock to most of the Conservative caucus, even those inside the Prime Minister’s office.

Nice to see that there are still some principled MPs left in the Conservative Party. I’ll be making a small donation to Brad’s campaign in the next election. But not Diane Ablonczy’s.

Take their argument to it’s logical conclusion… anyone who believes in “the Creation myth”, as the majority of the Muslim world does, is ineligable to hold a Cabinet portfolio in Canada, at least according to Warren Kinsella along with many other Liberal bloggers.

They haven’t said that in so many words, mind you, but in their attempts to once again attack a Conservative Cabinet Minister, who happens to be a Christian, that’s exactly what they’ve done. If a belief in “Creation” is a litmus test for Cabinet-ineligability here in Canada, then you can pretty much rule out a large chunk of Canada’s Muslim population.

What makes this really strange is that they still plan to have Warren Kinsella to run their war room.  You know, the guy who mocked Stockwell Day on national TV for going to church.

But perhaps I’m being oversensitve.

After all, he doesn’t just offend Christians.

He’s also managed to offend Chinese Canadians.   He actually made jokes about cat meat soup, and he still considers himself an “anti racist crusader”.

I should probably stop writing, since Kinsella’s the only man I’ve ever heard of that can give Jonathan Lee Riches a run for his title as “Most Litigious Man.”
